Fireboy proves himself peerless with Playboy

Fireboy proves himself peerless with Playboy
Afrobeat sensational superstar singer Adedamola Adefolahan popularly known as Fireboy DML, recently released a masterly album. The 14-track album is his third project and features the international hit single 'Peru' featuring British star singer Ed Sheeran. Fireboy is renowned for making hits singles such as jealous, what if I say, Champion, like I do, playboy and a plethora of his hit songs as well as two extraordinary albums.

Fireboy DML released his debut album, "laughter Tears and Goosebumps", in 2019, an album that gained lots of listening and love from fans. In 2020, he released his sophomore album " Apollo", which won "Album of the year" at the Headies Award. Indeed, it's a 'playboy' season as fireboy releases his third studio album ", playboy".

"My life dey make more sense as I get older", fireboy says on 'change', the first track on his masterful 'playboy' album. " Now I'm number one; I'm going global". Fireboy acknowledges that his life is about to change, given that his talents are being recognized on a bigger scale than before, as the singer was recently nominated at the BET award for Best International ACT and gave a fire-cracking performance of a hit song "Peru".

Bandana is a pre-cursor to the fantastic album as it features "rave of the moment" Asake. Fireboy tells his story as he makes a distinctive mark in Bandana. Fireboy states here that he has been writing music since 2006. Without being a rapper, fireboy rhymes throughout the song, giving creative 'bars' to show his dynamism and creativity. He uses a creative end rhythm to tell a beautiful poetic story (OG, lowkey, notice, joking, know me, 06, story) as he continues them all through the song. Bandana - a stylish scarf that legendary American rapper 2pac is known for wearing as a metaphor for being given a 'cap for attaining great height.'

Ashawo is a proper Fireboy thing. A pop song that combines the lyrical and rhythm ability of Fireboy DML. Telz is known for giving these beautiful guitar chords. Fireboy loves his acoustic guitar riffs; it suits his flair for R&B-inflected melodies. The juxtaposition between the production and the sensuality in fireboy's lyrics is complimenting.

Playboy is designed to make women whine their hips and to make players feel untouchable. Throughout the song, through sly melodies and soothing vocals, Fireboy makes it clear that he is the wrong boy to mess with: "Don dada, godfather, none badder, nonchalant, unbodered, make nobody dull my paro, make nobody follow my shadow."

Fireboy's confidence continues to flow as he shows his rapping adroitness in 'Adore' (featuring Dominican-American rapper Euro), where the theme becomes more promiscuous and playful. He reminiscently opens up about a past situation "I can't get you out of my mind; I still adore you". This song echoes the heartache of adoring someone you can't be with. Sofri, the recent Catchy tune produced by Blaise beats. It is built on lovemaking with the guitar strings adding sauce to the track.

He holds his collaboration with Chris Brown (An American singer and songwriter) and Shenseea (A breakthrough Jamaican star) on 'Diana'. Chris Brown joins Fireboy on a soothing yet sensual love song that shows the two men pouring their hearts out in a bid to keep an eponymous woman in their lives. Shenseea then gives a woman's perspective on the situation: "Haffi get a gyal like me, This here pum pum high quality, UFO, mi no ordinary and that's why you want me, up me".

"Peru"- is a high-tempo song that dwells on feminine worship. The piece began in a typical afro-pop fashion with a string of lewd lyrics that follow. Fireboy showed his vulnerability that some critics posted him to be deploying a legend. Wande coal. The second verse, "I'm not playing with you, I'm not joking, my third album is loading", worked as a double edge sword as it made fans anticipate new music.

Compromise is playboy's finest moment of collaboration as Fireboy links up with Rema. This single has been long-awaited since Rema was featured in playboy's music video. Compromise can be seen as the Gen-Z version of the joint single 'Ginger' by Wizkid and Burna boy. There is an unspoken energy between Fireboy and Rema that is desirable.
Fireboy DML and Grammy award-winning superstar collaborated to remix the hit track 'Peru'. In the first two verses, there seemed to be a range from a romantic situation to his musical life. "Girl, you wan capture my soul" "My third album is loading". Ed Sheeran's fluency in delivering the Yoruba line "omoge no be so" was astonishing. Shizzi (the producer) didn't hesitate to sprinkle magic on the beat as the two superstars kept and nurtured the vibes of 'Peru' in the music.

Fireboy shows his vocals on "Timoti" as he uses his native language, Yoruba, to balance his flows and lyrics. "Timoti" asserts fireboy's newfound position in the music industry. "Everybody confirm, enemies, bow down, all of them calm down". Afro Highlife resolves around Fela Kuti's Afrobeat production as it blends agit-prop lyrics and dance rhythms with the trumpet sound adding to the jazz. Having fun is giving typical reggae rhythms as Fireboy is having fun.

The "Glory" track is a sensational melody full of joy and exciting lyrics. It's the only track on the album that didn't have an afrobeat rhythm. Fireboy has climbed the top of the mountain, and he's remaining there. "Glory" is an excellent outro as it's sentimental in a positive way.

Overall, Playboy is a good album. The music on this album was diverse, from R&B to Afro-pop to Reggae to Afro house. However, the album fell through in certain areas. First of all, the Peru remix wasn't needed as it's a skip for lots of people. Aside from this, "Playboy" shows Fireboy’s growth as an artist, and it shows that he is much more confident when it comes to experimenting with diverse sounds.
